our kitchen flooded almost 3 weeks ago, the surveyor finally got out thursday gone and said he would come back to me..he also drummed into me whilst here that because of other peoples fraudulent claims, they WOULD NOT cover the cost of a FULL kitchen....been to try and get match to this kitchen at weekend and have been told no chance, its too old, nothing similar..each company we've been in to have said they 'should' pay the cost of FULL new kitchen, maybe not the full cost but a reasonable amount for FULL new kitchen as everything from units to worktops will be totally different.

i am riniging them today to tell them what we have been quoted for a middle range new ktichen..but not had to do this before..what should i say, should i be stroppy re: other peoples fraudulent claims affecting mine??..where do i stand if they say no, offer much less...hellllppp, i no nothing about his kind of thing!

Hi Everyone and mr and mrs cmotdibbler ..need a 'what next' problem solving!

insurance rang yesterday, theyre ofering 2/3 of what we've been quoted the repair/replace will cost..ive said no!, the qoute i got was neither the msot expensive nort eh cheapest, so i dont agree on over £1000 less!

So, i rang the company who qouted me and asked him to fax a copy of the quote to them, hes hesitant!, says hel ring back this morning(i will ring him if hes not rang at lunch!), then once theyve got fax they will look at where they can go from there...apparently we should have had a company round 3 days after it happend to dry the walls out!!1..and only now almost 4 weeks later have they realsied this and are nw appointing someone to come out!..i stressed my dissatifactiona t this and the time scale, i also told her that whatever these huge dehumidifiers cost in electricity, i would be billing them, she agreed, i then said that when we reach an agreeable figure for the repair, i would then pursue up to 50% off the ocst of the other units, to which she was stroppy at first then agreed given that we've been messed aorund so mucha nd not had work already done which should have been!..
so..am concerned that this company(big well known company-respected) were cagy about sending the quote to them, so have conttacted another kitchen co, who do the work as well and asked them to come round, quote and fax it to insurance..they said fine, so hope they come today..now i guess when the final figure is reached , what should i really expect to get 'up to 50%, obv they wont offer 50% so can i argue that? as it says UP TOO, i dont know how much strengh i have in my argument???
