Universal credit migration

I have had a migration notice to move from tax credits to universal credit in April. Both my husband and I are self employed so wanted to know if anyone has had this experience. How many months accounts and bank statements do they want to see? What happens if they decide you are not earning enough from self employment (as I am only working on a part time basis) Will I still have 'transitional protection' ?

Interesting that very few people have responded to this. Big bump in the hope someone can answer for you OP.

I'd like to know this too as I will be migrating soon.

Hi, we migrated over this month. We only got a bit of child tax previously, which will drop when ds1 goes to Uni this year. It was straight forward for us. Both work full time so haven't asked for bank statements etc. Just wanted to know about savings accounts. OH had to go to the jobcentre for an ID check, whereas mine went through straight away by using my government gateway online. The lady that he saw was lovely and he was in and out within 10 minutes.
Can't really comment on self employment though. Hopefully someone else can shed light on it.

I had the migration letter to transfer to UC from Tax credits by 1st December 2023.
I didn't transfer as I'm (precariously) self employed, don't make a great deal and have some savings.
So I just let it expire and am subbing my self employed income with my rapidly depleting savings.
Today I've logged into my bank account and it's showing a COL of £299 going in tomorrow.
As I'm no longer claiming tax credits and didn't transfer to UC I wasn't expecting a COL.
Has anyone else had similar?

@BCSurvivor if you qualified for a Tax Credit payment anytime 13 Nov to 12 Dec 2023, you will get the COL payment.

@MrsJellybee thank you!
That's a very welcome surprise.
