Need 9kg and under £500

Ive read heat pumps can take 2.5hrs for a couple of towels, I can't be doing with that.

I forgot to add mine doesn't take long. About 90 mins and I think it's 9kg capacity (but my washing machine is 6kg so never put 9kg in).

Our new heat pump one is better than our old condenser which seemed to take ages.

The tumble dryer technician told me that the heat pumps take longer and are more costly in all ways.

Unfortunately you’ve been misled.

We just ordered a Samsung one as the Bosch was out of stock, so will find out soon how good it is!!

Like all dryers the biggest factor in slowdown is the filter not being clean and the heat exchanger being clogged up. If the hot, wet air can’t escape then it won’t dry. In my Samsung heat pump it reminds you to clean the filter after every use, and when the heat exchanger is clogged it tells you. Filter is quick- 1 minute to clean with your fingers. Heat exchanger is more fiddly, but it comes with a special brush for it, takes 5 minutes. Our electricity bill rose about £10-£15/month when we went from no dryer to a heat pump dryer, I think they’re great.

Any thoughts on this brand? Haier?

Our heat pump Bosch has a self cleaning condenser. Well pleased to be free of the faff of cleaning it in the old fashioned condenser types we had before.

It drains directly into the same foul water pipe as the washer so no cassette to empty or stop it mid programme while I'm elsewhere.

Only issue we've had is the lift pump for the condensate failing. Replaced by Bosch at cost of around £100 including fitting.

I've decided to just get a condenser dryer again.
We are a large family and I've lost count of times someone needed something drying quickly before school or an appointment.

On washing days I can't be waiting 3 hours for a 9kg load to dry.
