Insurance - Fridge damage - leak Help

Hello, can anyone advise?

we had a major escape of water from our shower above the kitchen. This turned into our kitchen ceiling falling through (right above our fridge). Our fridge is still functioning and the insurers have done a PAT test and declared it safe,

we have photos and videos of water in the fridge, and the fridge is right above the leak. It’s a new fridge and I’m worried about long term issues arising due to an ingress of water that I can’t prove. The insurer is saying their electrician has declared it safe and although they’ve seen photos and videos of the water, we can’t see if it’s entered the fridge therefore they won’t replace it. It’s a £1800 American fridge freezer bought new in Nov 2022.

has anyone got any advice on how to push back on this? Thanks

*when I say ‘in’ the fridge I can show photos of it having got through the door seals and into the door handles but not inside the actual very inside of the fridge, the fridge is right below the big hole in our ceiling.

Why do you need to push back if it's working? It's a waste to replace it.

Because there will clearly have been an ingress of water that will probably lead to it breaking down in the future, litres of water was literally pouring all over the top of it. Sadly we can’t break it open to show this water. There are holes on top (as the electrician pointed out) and he said off the record he would push for a replacement but he can only do the PAT test and that was fine. It doesn’t show there is water inside it which is very likely.
