On income related ESA you can earn up to about £130 (I think) a week doing certain types of allowed work (that don't go against your reason for claiming).
I'm wondering, is it possible to class being a landlady to a Tennant as work for this reason?
My mortgage has doubled, I have no chance of working outside the home and expected lifespan of only 3 to 4 years, hence the reason for my question. Ironically, if I were renting my rent, or a huge proportion of it, would be paid by housing benefit. I am only on PIP and ESA and now can't afford any heating, minor repairs and have lost weight due to having to cut back on food.
I live alone so also have to cover all utilities and other bills alone.
If this isn't possible, does anyone have any ideas of allowed work I could do at home? I'm happy to work, and miss working a lot - noone expects to end up in this position so I really hope replies are kind and not just getting at me because, believe me, I would absolutely love to be healthy and back at my old job.
