If I’ve had my pip assessment and had text to day dwp have received report can I call
and ask for a copy of the report or can they tell me what I scored over the phone.

The Decision Maker should look at all of the evidence of which the Health Care Professional's report will only be part.

NowWhattt · 08/09/2023 12:16

They don’t just look at the report , but by all means call and request it. I doubt they’ll tell you any more details over the phone.

They go through all evidence in thorough detail.

Upallnightagain3 · 08/09/2023 12:24

I don’t want any more details over the phone,
I would like a copy of my report. They have all the reports etc

You'll get what you scored when they make their decision and write to you about it.

Upallnightagain3 · 08/09/2023 12:57

But you can call and ask for report incase it needs to go for MR. as you only have 4 weeks so it gives time to prepare. Have you had one recently?

Yes, you can call for a copy of the report. It will show what the assessor puts ticks next, too. You can then go onto pip assessment points on Google and add up your points, which gives you an estimate of what you'll get points for. The decision maker doesn't always go with what the assessor has put they could upgrade or downgrade . Call them and ask they can not refuse 😊. Good luck

TGGreen · 08/09/2023 13:03

Yes call and ask. You can work out the assessor's suggested award based on the report but bear in mind the final say so is with the decision maker so it can change up or down. Both of my awards so far have been what the assessor's report suggested.

Upallnightagain3 · 08/09/2023 13:04

Thank you @Kezhoust2586 and @TGGreen I’ll give them a call this afternoon

They send you the report once they made their decision. I don’t think you can get it before that.

Locutus2000 · 08/09/2023 16:36

I was awarded PiP recently and received a text from the DWP saying "We have awarded you PiP. We will write to you"

It was a couple of weeks at least before the paperwork arrived telling me what I had actually been awarded, this included the assessor's report and conclusions.

It's not really about diagnosis but how those conditions affect you in relation to the PIP descriptors. Can you wash and dress yourself, cook a simple meal, communicate, mobilise, toilet yourself etc. Can you do these things to an acceptable standard within a reasonable timeframe and as often as needed. For variable conditions, you must meet the descriptors for 50% of the time to score the points. They may ring your GP but more likely to go by the medical evidence they receive from your form and from your assessment.

I would just make sure you send plenty of medical evidence with the form, don't rely on them contacting your GP as they often don't/ won't unless they need something clarifying.

Starrrz · 26/11/2023 20:13

@Babyroobs ok thankyou! I have plenty of letters from consultants.
ill see what happens, just feel like i need abit of help. Its soo hard like i want to work more but my body just wont let me :( xxx

Starrrz · 23/12/2023 22:59

@Babyroobs hey! They have contacted my gp and sent a form for my gp to do. Is this good or bad news? Im glad they have as my gp can explain how many issues im having etc. X

Yes that's great if they have as they don't always speak to the GP. hopefully your GP will be able to provide additional information in support of your application.

Starrrz · 23/12/2023 23:29

@Babyroobs ok thankyou for your reply :)
yes my gp is amazing and sooo supportive with me during the 4 years in been struggling. What would the next process be ? X
