Hey,

like many of us, We’ve been hit by the COL crisis and things are tighter. We’ve also got some debt that I’m only able to service at minimum payment levels right now. Food budget has been slashed and big holidays are off the agenda for now.

despite this, I refuse to worry. We have our home and there’s food in the fridge. I also refuse to live like a hermit and think it’s fine to have a couple of drinks with friends once or twice a month.

does anyone else feel this way too?

Way to go I think.

Have you checked you're getting everything you can benefits wise - eg an Entitled To check?

If you're struggling with debt have you looked at advice such as National Debtline or Stepchange?

You don't have to sit at home, wring your hands and 'worry' to address the situation.

I'm quite pragmatic and don't really 'worry' over things. But the COL crisis has certainly brought things into sharper focus for me so I put a plan in place to pay down any debt, reduce costs and increase income.

Personally I wouldn't be going out for drinks with friends twice a month if I had debt that I could only meet minimum payments on. You'll be stuck in the debt trap forever that way.
