Good morning,
Am a single mum of two going to start uni this September. I am working part time at the moment
I get paid (950) and on Universal Credit .1105
SF says am entitled to 11,237 this includes 4237 (special element ) parent grant 1800
I need some advice please should I keep working or resign from my job ?
Am wondering if it worth it me being tired all the time as I have a baby .
I have tired to ask my work coach the rough idea of Uc but no straight answer on how much I would get or..will I even get UC ?
Thank you for your help

It's really hard to say, last time I was a student I was receiving money for dependants. Is your studying full or part time? If its full I think I would opt to focus my efforts there and get a decent grade. I spread myself too thin and ended up not doing as well as I could have on my uni work :/
Issue is, student finance pay termly. I'd keep uc open just in case but they would need to know about your student finance.

You will need to apply for whatever maintenance loans you are eligible for. Uc then look at the amount of loans and divide it between the number of months your course is over the year and the loans are deducted in full apart from £110 ( I think ) per month which is disregarded. You will be better off if you can keep working some hours as you benefit from the work allowance. I appreciate working is tiring especially alongside studying. I guess you need to weight that up against not having a lot to live on by the time the student loan is deducted from UC.

UC for students is a nightmare...you can't use the online calculators, UC don't seem to know either... You could try the CAB UC helpline.

Babyroobs is correct. They divide your student maintenance loan, bursaries etc by 12 and count that as your monthly income. Some grants are disregarded though eg DLA, childcare grants. I am not sure about the special element and parent grant that you mentioned, whether they count or not. They disregard the first £110 of your student income then deduct the rest £ for £ from your UC.

So, if the entire £11,237 were counted (as I said, I am not sure whether the special element/parent grant are):

Student income/12 = £11237/12 = £936.42
£936.42 - £110 = £826.42

Universal Credit = £1105 - £826.24 = £278.76 per month

Are you eligible for the student childcare grant? You will get it if your household income is under £27k. The figures you posted are about £26k per annum, do you have any other income eg child maintenance? If you won't get it but will get UC childcare help, you might be better off working...
