Pip change to ADP (Scotland)

Hi wondering if anyone has similar experience. I am on pip which is now getting changed to adult disability payment (in Scotland) I am currently awarded high rate care and low rate mobility. My medical conditions ( Mixed Connective Tissue Disease, Systemic Lupus, Sjogrens, Rheumatoid arthritis) have not changed over the years and are lifelong conditions. I am so anxious about the change as pip put me through hell to get it and I had to do mandatory reconsideration then attend tribunal in which I won. I honestly feel like I couldn’t face going through all that again. I know people have said that ADP will be a better process for individuals but has anyone in Scotland experienced this and found the ADP form and process less stressful than pip. Thanks

Are you due a review which has triggered the change or are they just moving you over?

If they are just moving you from PIP to ADP nothing will change until review time.

If it's a review treat it as a new application and give them everything you have. The vast majority of people are reporting that ADP is a much more positive experience.

My DS is autistic, he actually filled out the ADP forms alone, missed out half the things he struggled with so was turned down, I added stuff to his reconsideration and so he got an assessment.

With someone with a nursing background specialising in autism...

It honestly was so stress free because it was someone who actually knew what to ask him.

I recently got the mobility element based on the form and whatever medical info they got, no hassle, no assessment, just contacted my GP and physio.

So, yeah, I’d say a world of difference from PIP tbh.
