Anyone that's moved from legacy benefits to UC recently please?

I'm currently on ESA, Support group and am pretty sure I'm going to be moved to UC soon.

Do they ask for 4 months bank statements in a standard swap over? Or is that just of they do a review?

Also does moving house (in receipt of housing benefit) within the same borough trigger a switch to UC?

No not if staying within the same local authority.

Answering in reverse order:

If you stay in the same Local Authority then move of home is a change on your current claim to legacy HB. I does not mean you have to move to UC.

If you're subject to managed migration then you'll be told your legacy benefit claim will end. At the same time you'll be invited to claim UC.

From a UC perspective you're a new claimant though, if on ESA, you may have some reserved rights regarding being in the Support Group/LCfWRA. The relevant addition/work allowance etc follow without the need for a new WCA.

IME on new claims to UC they're fairly relaxed about savings changes prior to your claim. Of course, if there's something on their records/radar to suggest you've deprived yourself of savings so as to increase/retain benefit then the spotlight may shine further back.

If you're on IR ESA now and in the Support Group then for most people you'll be better off. The LCfWRA Element in UC is worth quite a bit more than the Support Addition + Enhanced Disability Premium in IR ESA.

Thankyou. The issue is I've never had any savings but the last month I've been given close to 4k in a loan from 2 family members in order to be able to move, pay off debts, furnish my house and also get a car.

I'm just so worried about the money having been put in my bank.

For years I've never had more than my benefits in my account, I've never had any extra but in the last month I've had 3k from my mum (a very long term loan) and 1k from another family member for a loan to pay off my rent arrears so I could move.

I don't think the DWP are going to worry about amounts like that if they're one off loans or even gifts. Still less if they're from close family.

Plenty of bigger fish to worry about.
