ESA50 - transfer to universal credit?

Just received an ESA50. I'm on ESA plus the severe disability premium. Everything I've read online suggests we'll be one of the last to move over.

My health has only got worse since I filled my last ESA50 in, way back in 2012.

I'm currently in the support group and the criteria suggests I should stay there.

If I stay there, will I be moved to universal credit?

Everybody will be moved to UC eventually, but filling in a new ESA50 won't trigger a change. Your support group will automatically change to LCWRA and you will get transitional protection if you currently receive a SDP.

No it shouldn't trigger a move to UC now, it's just a re-assessment.

As above, ESA50 relates to Employment Support Allowance and being asked to complete it is because the system needs to make sure you remain correctly assessed.

If, as of today, you get the SDP then, provided you remain on IR ESA, it will continue unless you cease to get PIP or no longer have no partner or non dep living with you.

If you were found to be no longer in the Support Group and not to have Limited Capability for Work either then migration to UC might be the next option but that's not where you are now.
