University Finance Advice needed

(I'm in the uk.)
I'm 37 and have applied to university to do a primary teaching degree with qualified teacher status.

I previously studied at university for 2 years, I had student loans then. (Only have HNC qualification, failed second year due to loss of a family member, I struggled as a young adult back then)

I since have been diagnosed with a mental health disability.

I also have 2 young children and my husband earns around 30k.

I'll still be working part time earning roughly £100 a week

Can anyone advise me what funding I'll be able to access?

It's a little confusing and I need to earn enough to pay my bills to be able to quit my full time job and do the course.

(Thanks in advance!)

I'm saying this as a teacher of 20 years.

Don't do it.

I'd say this to anyone considering joining the profession. Even more so for you with young children. Teacher training is gruelling for anyone, nevermind if you have a health disability.

I've been hit, spat at, had objects thrown at me and I'm mainstream primary. Children aren't coming to school ready to learn and in scotland we're at 40% of children with additional support needs but no learning assistants to help support these kids.

It's a total shitshow, and however bad you imagine it's 100 times worse. Some days I'm just relieved if I can get my class to the end of the day with everyone safe.

Honestly, run fast and far.

I say this kindly to, as a mum with 2 young kids who only ever wanted to be a teacher. Do not do it.
