Hi All
Hoping for a bit of advice from anyone that's had a similar experience with NatWest recently!
My husband and I had our mortgage application put through with NatWest on Thursday evening - it was all very last minute, as after some initial discussions and some rough figures our broker let us know that we needed to get it in that day to secure the rates before they were pulled.
Yesterday evening we got a notification through to let us know that a search had been done against our credit accounts, but when my husband went in to have a look he noticed that a missed payment was showing on his account. This payment was missed last month due to an error moving some money between accounts, but we called the company at the time and they advised that the payment would be taken ten days later (along with a £25 admin fee) and that as long as this was paid it wouldn't be an issue or show on our file. The payment was taken 10 days later and we didn't think we to much more of it.
Can anyone give any advice on how much impact this might make? We have otherwise perfect credit scores and it was for house insurance - the payment was only £17. Is it likely that we will have a chance to explain?
Weve had an offer accepted on a property we love and now I'm having a complete panic it's going to fall through and we won't be able to speak to the broker till Monday 😩
