No transaction fee card options, to use abroad on holiday?

I’ve been declined for a Monzo account (no idea why, I’ve previously had an account with them with no problems!).

So i’m looking for recommendations for a card/account whereby we won’t need to pay transaction fees to use the card abroad (europe)?

Just back from a trip abroad using Starling. Love it - fantastic bank.

Probably true for most banks now but you can see the transaction with the payment in pounds come through instantly on your phone - very handy.

Chase - earn cash back for every spend too I think.

Chase. What about something for a 16 -17 y o though, any suggestions? They appear not to be able to use cash.

Yes, although Monzo is only one of 3 I mentioned previously. I suggested it just now in response to a question from another poster.

I use Revolut usually but have a Chase card this year as well, thanks to the £1000 monthly limit on forex

We have a Starling account we use just for spending aboard. Really simple app to use as well.

Chase, the 1% cash back means it's better than others with no fees. Great for UK spending too as there's a few other perks.

We just use travel cards from the supermarket

There's also the 5% interest on round ups with Chase.

We use Revolut.

Chase for cash back on spending and cash withdrawals, Halifax Clarity for credit card (good for deposit holds). Honestly why use anything than Chase when they have cashback on spending!
