UC and Pension Contributions

Hi, does anyone know if pension contributions are allowed for in UC calculations? I know they are if deducted by your employer. They used to be allowed if you paid directly when I was on Tax Credits but UC are just ignoring them. Is that correct? Thanks.

They are supposed to recalculate your earnings but if you are paying into your pension directly I heard it's a bit complicated because they take their data from your employer.
They are supposed to recalculate it though so I guess you just keep on at them about it

Tbh I found it was the same with tax credits but I suppose that was at least just an annual hassle

Others have advised about this on another thread. Apparently they are supposed to allow them, but don't include in their calculation, the other poster was saying you have to go through a benefit advisor to sort it out. If there is an option to increase your workplace pension that would be easier?
