annoying neighbours

I live down a quiet cul-de-sac and my house is on the road but i do not have a drop kerb, every other house does but there are two houses that are off the road and so obviously dont have drop kerbs. They both own two cars and we own one. One house in particular seems to think that parking outside my house is their right!! We rarely manage to park there and often park down the road which we dont mind but on the rare occassions we get to park outside of our house the neighbours block us in. They go on about 3 holidays a year and always leave the cars outside my house. Last month i had a skip coming and when they got there they refused to leave it as they couldn't get it in my garden because of their cars and wouldn't leave it down the road. Lately i have been coming home and they have been parking their cars in such a way that they are taking up 3 spaces. It's so irritating that they do this. I have considered a drop kerb but you have to get your whole drive laid first and it's expensive. They have started playing their music so loud aswell. Im sure it's anti-social behaviour but what can I do??

Instead of going to all the expense and inconvenience of getting a drop kerb, why not consider installing rise and fall bollards? They're very popular where I live and stop people from being so inconsiderate with their parking.

If your neighbour's music is overly loud and intrusive, you can contact your local Environmental Health Officer and make a formal complaint under Part III of the Environmental Protection Act, 1990.

There are also items of legislation you can use but hopefully, a sternly worded letter from the local EHO will do the trick and they'll start behaving more considerately towards you.
