Has anyone had any success buying a refurbished tv please? Where do you get it from?

It’s not the 80s

What a horrible response.

OP, try CEX. I haven't had a TV from them but I have had other tech and they are very good. If you have anything they sell (phones, DVDs, Blu-Rays, gaming stuff) that you can trade in, you can get extra money off that way. Their website tells you ('voucher' price) what you can get for anything you want to trade in.

British Heart Foundation, if you have a furniture one near you. They have TV’s of all sizes and types coming in frequently, so keep looking until there’s one you want. Their equipment is electrical safety tested and has a 6 month warranty.

Trying joining some local buying and selling Facebook groups. Especially those based in more well off areas. On our one someone gives away a pretty decent looking TV about once a week.

I was having the same dillema a few years ago.
If refurbished make sure they give you a warranty.
I ended up going for new but lower spec tv and researched online for the best price to get the best within budget.
Was trying to buy used off Gumtree or market place but two I have seen I had asked to see them working and they had faulty pixels and other various issues with screens.
So maybe not exactly answer to your question but something you perhaps could consider Smile

I bought few refurbished things from Appliance Dorect. Make aure to check which Grade it is before buying. Companies also have outlets where you can get some foe good prices. I had mainly laptops

Thank you. I managed to get a refurbished one on eBay. 55” smart OLED. It was £699 but would have been £1700 new. I’m pretty sure it’s new anyway still had the plastic film on, delighted!
