Finding old pensions

I've had several jobs over the last 16 years, with a mix of small public (teacher) pensions and private pensions, which won't have racked up a huge amount but I'd like to have peace of mind about how to access them in the future.

I'm not sure where to start about finding these old pensions, and would it be beneficial to consolidate them (I don't even know if by doing so, they'd accrue more interest? Is that even a thing?) Help, am completely clueless about this!

There's a very recent thread on this, Op, it's where I got the link from.

If you have any info - statements, the names of the companies etc, it’s relatively easy to do. I then used Pension Bee - you set up and account, input the details and they consolidate them. I’m not sure it has the best performance of all of the fund managers but it’s app based so super easy to do and it is good to have them all in one place. Thinking about moving them all into my workplace pension now.
