Is "entitled to" normally right?

Cos if it is apparently I could get council tax rebate....nearly the whole amount

I am so shocked - is that right?

Our joint income is about £23,500 - quite nice news actually (not sure I believe it)

Can't imagine you'll get that much, our income is lower than that and we get approx £8 month!

KatyMac · 09/02/2008 17:08

I thought it must be wrong

Go on local authority website. Ours has a calculator questionnaire, all anon. Its great, asks general questions about wages etc, how much council tax is, how much tax credits you get. Then it calculates how much benefit, if any, you're entitled to. If it says you are entitled then you can apply via form.

my income is less than that and i get 5.00 a month paid

but i would have said yes it is normally right?

You are a CM, yes? there are special rules for you.

KatyMac · 09/02/2008 17:26

My council does not have a calculator

I guess entitled to is wrong - but I'll ring on Monday & ask

Its usually close to the mark on tax credits but off when it comes to housing benefit and council tax. On that joint income, its definately wrong.
