Self assessment resubmitted - do I pay or wait

Hi I had an incorrect pensions statement from the nhs which indicated I had a annual allowance charge to pay. Did a self assessment paper and submitted October. Since then paid for some guidance who identified nhs pensions sent me an incorrect pensions statement and in fact I have not breached any annual allowance. Resubmitted amended form in January indicating 0 tax charge. Yesterday my account stated I had nil to pay and today I have an excess 10k charge showing based on my original submission. Rang HMRC today who confirmed receipt of amended form but states not likely to be processed until July! Advice I was given was to ignore all demands. What should I do? I don't want to pay when my liability is 0 but concerned that I will rack up interest and late payment charges. Never done this before and really stressing about it. Any one experienced similar and what did you do? Ps I'm still working age and PAYE for income tax. Thanks!
