Don’t get married is the easiest answer!

If you are already married, you can enter into a post-nuptial agreement with your husband. There are no guarantees but it should usually be enforceable if both parties entered into it voluntarily. Best to do it before any trouble shows up in the marriage. It will simplify any asset split in a divorce.

@blueshoes I agree with your suggestion, but I think when you get to the point of asking MN for advice on keeping your assets out of a divorce, you’re like beyond the point of anyone voluntarily giving up a claim on them!

@Megang4 you might get more help with more detail. If you’ve only been married for 5 minutes, he’s not going to get half of your assets. How long married? Any children? Anyone stop work or hamper their career for the other? What are each of your pensions like?

Searched your posts as sometimes that answers the questions!
But you have a HTB loan currently. How did you get that when you’d already bought 2 properties? Is that all your husband’s?
