Changes to report regarding PIP

My teenage son has been receiving PIP for while. He has now moved to uni accommodation but we still give him lots of support. Do I have to report the change that he has moved into uni accommodation. It's not a permanent move and he is home with us a lot.

Yes. When you get the form through, it's a lot shorter than the initial one.

Do not write anything other than "no change" for all the questions apart from the relevant one.

His review form has just arrived. I worried about saying the wrong thing.

Do you mean the review form?

You would not need to report that he has moved to Uni unless to report a change of address. You would only need to report a change in the difficulties he has. it will depend what reasons he claims PIP and whether that has changed ? does he still have the same difficulties/ care needs?

Yes he does have the same care needs and difficulties, they are harder to manage as he is an hours drive away.

His uni address is temporary so do I still need to mention that, also his Gp has changed because of the move. I'm scared to mention the move in case they jump to conclusions that he has some how improved. He has autism & ADHD so it been a huge change and challenging but he wanted to do give uni a try.

Do you even need to fill in a form for a change of address? My boyfriend just rang them changed his address and that was it. He never had to fill in a form.

Be aware if his care needs have changed they will probably send another form and may send for an assessment. Only do this if....he's likely to get a higher award.....or he's improved and will get a lower award. So many people report deterioration in health just to get the same or lower award. Unless it effects the descriptors it doesn't always make any difference.
