£50k on landscaping. The most money we've ever spent on any one thing (except the house obviously), and means we're never doing it again and are here for the long haul!

MrsMoastyToasty · 20/01/2023 00:33

Approx £6500 to pay off the mortgage.

Well spent - great investment. Good for you

We are up to £1600 now and he’s having more investigations on Monday which will take us to nearer £2500 but on the plus side he is looking a bit better .

£400 on garden furniture. We have a small house and a small yard and this set is perfect for the little space. Roll on summer!

@Cimafunky may I ask where you got your garden furniture please? We’re working on ours and we’d like to get a set to fully enjoy our garden this year. Please and thank you!

Still another 3 weeks before I officially buy it but a house (£205k) it's been years of struggle in the making but finally getting back on the property ladder

PermanentTemporary · 20/01/2023 05:47

Wow @MrsBellamy that is a whole story there. Best wishes for a smooth completion.

greenbackers · 20/01/2023 06:46

Trip to NZ for next Christmas to visit family. I'm slightly terrified about the amount of money, even though we've been saving for 8 years.

jevoudrais · 20/01/2023 06:49

Paid my members fees for my professional qualification, nearly £400.

PlaitBilledDuckyPuss · 20/01/2023 06:50

Vaccinations for my cat, £49.

Other than that, all I've bought so far this year are routine supermarket items.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 20/01/2023 06:51

A £500 sofa that's on an infuriating 14 week lead time!

My dog being PTS and individual cremation. My no spend January went to pot, I've also bought more wine than necessary so my dry January has also gone to pot 😞

This was me in January 2022. I'm so sorry. It was incredibly painful but I have come along way in 2022 and already I can think of the good times. To start with any memory of him was so painful I couldn't bear to even talk about him. Sending love x

TenoringBehind · 20/01/2023 07:29

Outside of utility bills, dentist visits, dog food etc, the most expensive thing I’ve bought has been a freestanding airer from Lakeland (£80). Exciting stuff.

Cimafunky · 20/01/2023 09:11
