Hi, I am questioning whether I should officially go part time self employed selling on Ebay. I do make this a full time hobby and I would like to move to self employment. I have a disability, a single mum with children under 6 years old. Do you know whether I could go self employed doing this and would I qualify for working tax credits. Do I need to make a certain amount of money a month to qualify for this? I would be grateful if anyone could help me with this, thank you.

I don't think you can do new claims for tax credits, anymore, it would be UC? There are some calculators online which might help you.

Also for your disability look into PIP

When I was self employed I seem to remember that you need to make a certain amount of money. So you couldn’t just say you were working 16 hours and claim, can’t remember how much, although this was a few years ago anyway.

It would be Universal Credit and you would need to make the equivalent of minimum wage per hour I think.. But you have a year's grace I think?

It would be a new claim for Universal credit unless you are already claiming child tax credits but to be honest I think they are really clamping down on these hobby type jobs. On Universal credit you would need to show you are gainfully self employed.
