How much to tip?

Having some work done on the house next week - they're charging £1200 for labour for a week (2 men). Assuming they do a good job, would you tip at the end and how much?

We are in the midlands and it's semi-skilled work (putting up stud wall, plastering, painting), if that makes any difference.

We!re having work done just now and it’s not entered my head to tip them! A case of beer at the end of the job, but definitely not cash

No, we never tip tradespeople unless of course we believe they've done and incredible job and undercharged. Only once have we given more than we were asked

No need to tip. If you're really happy with the work, give them a bottle of wine each.

I didn't tip any of my tradesmen when I got work done earlier in the year that cost the same as yours.

I brought them in a takeaway lunch one day and made sure there was plenty of snacks, cans of juice, milk teabags etc and they seemed delighted.

Thanks for the replies! I was actually thinking of £50 between them so i am pleased i asked! Takeaway is a nice idea. I've left out biscuits and things to make drinks but they never use them, at least i've offered!

I'm normally a decent tipper but I've never tipped tradespeople.

I’m a tipper but wouldn’t tip.
