Clark's shoe sale

Please can someone share with me if there is a way to estimate how big my child's feet could be next summer?

I can see there are sales on and would really like to try to save, but not really sure about what size she could be by then

Obviously if I get it wrong I can just sell them on eBay next year

This is a really difficult question to answer. Children’s feet can grow very quickly or slowly. My sons needed new shoes regularly in the first three as they could grow by two whole shoe sizes each year. By the time they were at school it was about one whole size each year. However, one year it was only half a size for my youngest. Mine also changed width from G to F. My friends child who is 11 hasn’t changed shoe size in over a year. Each child is so different.

I think it's probably better to ignore the sale as you're likely to end up with a pair of shoes that won't fit. From experience, children growth is very unpredictable 😞

I suspected as much 😂 Nevermind! Just would have loved to save some money, shoes are so expensive

I think you could end up with a pair of shoes that don't fit so it's a false economy.

How about visiting a retail outlet store when you need the next pair. They sell the last year's stock at a lower price.

www.clarksoutlet.co.uk are good for a discount all year round, so you can buy the actual size you need.

There are signing up offers too.

@Lindy2 @MsMarple that's a good idea thank you 😊

Look at it another way.

If your child grows by one size then he needs that size when his feet get to it. So buy the next size up? Perhaps you can get away with missing out a half size.

What’s wrong with buying shoes from one of the big supermarkets? Much cheaper! DS has always had his from Sainsbury’s and they last until he goes up a size (despite foot dragging and goodness knows what other shoe unfriendly stuff he gets up to). I usually have the next size up ready… so when he has an overnight growth spurt and invariably seems to go up a shoe size overnight, I have some that fit ready.

I probably will go elsewhere when she's a bit older, but she's only 18 months and her feet are growing really quickly.
