1700 gullible and vulnerable Freshers apparently
oh dear

Spongebobette · 01/09/2022 21:12

Oh that’s tragic. Those bloody scammers will try to take 39 quid a month off het after Freshers Week

PieonaBarm · 01/09/2022 21:20

So Castles moving abroad and "dragging my parents" with them. What's Bruv going to do??

I hope they’re continuing the MLM tradition of lying about numbers.

Freshers week? My arse! There’s definitely a pattern. Back in the days of Forever Fibbing Castle encouraged her downline to play shop and now she’s encouraging the unwary to play university. I despair - anyone else?

I wonder if it is for tax reasons, to evade English law or both?

Norma27 · 02/09/2022 07:25

I think it will be for tax reasons. It is very unlikely she will not be tax resident in the UK for this (2022/23) tax year though. She needs to spend fewer than 183 days in the UK so she needs to be quick. Even with fewer days she could still be tax resident. I hope the tax man keeps an eye on her. I will be.

She is a like a locust. Sweeps into a situation, bleeds everyone dry then shoots off.

You can't really move abroad for tax reasons but keep a house in the UK. It's quite complicated but if it was for tax she would probably need to get rid of the house. And I'm not sure that's what she is intending to do.

thetemptationofchocolate · 02/09/2022 10:12

I wonder where they are going? If it's in the EU will they not have to apply for citizenship first?

Ohnonevermind · 02/09/2022 10:34

Castle will sell her house, she must have some equity. Her parents will take a hit on the mobile home but Castle won’t care about that.

her parents should have enough money left from the sale of their house to buy and apartment, but that means castle won’t be able to afford a villa with a pool for Instagram purposes.

I see messiahs no2 (who still has him behind the scenes) is launching a new mlm in a week. I wonder if she will poach some students

StuckInSandwich · 02/09/2022 10:39

I see Yawn has Covid. And instead of being able to take some time off to rest and recuperate she's trying to turn it into material for her weight loss page.

"Great new blog though, how to stay on plan whilst you’re ill, especially with the colder weather coming

I’ll show you what I eat, the supplements I take & how I manage without exercise whilst I can’t breathe 🙈🙈🙈"

She can't afford to take the time off shilling FL even for this. That's not aspirational, it's just depressing.

Especially if she has UK based income via her Air BnB scheme.

She has been sold the dream by fierce, and is blindly following her lead I reckon.

fromdownwest · 02/09/2022 11:45

What exactly is PHD's angle with her investment advice.

Ironically today I am doing my annual training for r'eal advice.

FMSA 2000 S.21
A financial promotion is defined as an invitation or an indcuement to engage in investment activity.

Every one of her posts is in breach of these regulation. How is she getting away with it is beyond me?

YouOKHun · 02/09/2022 12:00

I see Fierce is crowing about making £60k in six weeks. That’s roughly the 1700 victims mentioned upthread x £39. I wonder if that’s what she’s referring to? I can’t face watching her to find out. No mention of Castle but I expect Fierce has rinsed Castle, I wonder if Castle is coming to that realisation.

As for Castle, it sounds like another badly thought through pipe dream to leave her troubles and the HMRC behind her. I look forward to seeing her accounts for the planner biz. I expect if she goes to Spain Fierce won’t be that pleased to have her under her feet.

A classic scam, hit people for a lot of money, then pull the rug.

I truly hope that Fierce takes Castle to town, it may be spiteful, but she will now know what it feels like to be rinsed by someone financially.

Privacy policy …. ‘except to’ at the bottom means all those grifters who are doing sessions next week?

What is personal information and how do we collect it?

xxxxxxLimited collects personal information about individuals (including our clients, persons associated with or employed by our clients, contractors, third party agents and other business contacts), in order to provide our services and to effectively manage our business relationships. xxxxx Limited will not disclose, share, sell or rent personal information we hold about you without your consent, except to external service providers we have engaged to assist us in the provision of services to our clients/business or for any internal/external training purposes.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 02/09/2022 15:37

@Spongebobette - basically data harvesting and flogging it off to the various spivs that will be 'presenting'...

YouOKHun · 02/09/2022 20:03

The actions of a pair of nasty fuckers but unsurprising. And when the Mutant Ninja Turtle has finished with the data it will then be passed on to the next scammer in the food chain. For £39 those victims have signed up for some extreme gaslighting as they’re passed from “coach” to “coach” to upline. When I think about the hoops I have jump through when it comes to GDPR (and quite right too), it makes me sick.

I wonder if that data were to find its way into the hands of an upline at say, Modere, could that be when the ICO could get involved as that’s a “proper” company obtaining dodgy data and a U.K. resident bot representative who probably hasn’t heard of GDPR and can’t even manage privacy for her own children (Salon).

The education-based coach who is one of the speakers and looks, at first glance, to be legit refuses to engage at all regarding her involvement so that’s a shame regarding her wider reputation. She’s obviously had coaching from Fierce in the past and rates her but I imagine she’s smart enough to have got there anyway without Fierce repeating back to her what she wants to hear and sharing nuggets of hunspiration.

it’s so frustrating seeing it all unfold and not being able to get taken down from FB.

They are back on Insta too. Unclear why their account was taken down but they seem to have a new one with ‘official’ in the title

shouldn't there be an opt-out in the Privacy/T&C to allow people not to share their data with 3rd parties? Or is that just best practice rather than a requirement?

Spongebobette · 02/09/2022 20:17

I mean, who wants their data passed on to a ‘manifestation expert and mindset coach’
🙄

Ohnonevermind · 02/09/2022 20:53

I see castle is back, calling the bit around her parents mobile ‘her garden’ - and ‘Niks garden’ like she does any gardening there. Her poor mum planted it all, and sold up to be near her and now she’s pulling the rug out from under them again.

YouOKHun · 02/09/2022 21:25

My understand (limited understanding) @Spongebobette is that there are a number of lawful basis for holding data and C&F have to be clear on what lawful basis they’re holding/using data. If it’s on the basis of consent then that consent has to be requested clearly and separately from the other T&Cs. They are not really making the sharing of data a free choice or explaining that the person can take their consent away at any time they choose. Consent cannot be on an opt out basis (by that I mean their “customers” haven’t automatically given consent by not saying “no”).

The other relevant basis is “legitimate interests” where they need to be able to justify the use of a “customer’s” data giving a strong reason why they are passing it on and that their interests do not tip the balance away from the interests, rights and freedoms of their data subjects.

I don’t see how they are fulfilling any of that.

I had a look on Insta and couldn’t see their page but there are a few people sharing in under the Spamversity hashtag. I’m going to have another search.

definitelynotabot · 02/09/2022 21:58

Have they registered with the ICO?

YouOKHun · 02/09/2022 22:05

Let’s hope so @definitelynotabot :

“Any business or sole trader who processes personal information must register with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under the Data Protection Act 2018 and failure to register is a criminal offence.”

though what are the chances they have? Unlikely.
