Whoops - looks like you just provided an email address to report someone who appears to be providing unregulated financial advice to UK based investors?!

Oh gosh did I? I thought it was for Whistles clothes

YouOKHun · 11/08/2022 14:25

@Spongebobette you're ahead of me while I’m typing and accidentally deleting and re typing 🙄!

Yes, I wouldn’t be surprised if more than one person used that address to quite rightly report her for unsolicited, unqualified and unregulated financial advice and shite trite memes.

Thats really concerning @fromdownwest. Someone is going to come along who is convinced by PhD’s confidence, assurance and positioning of herself as a success and lose a great deal. I wonder if she is offering (on the quiet) to speculate for them with their money? I suspect if someone does report through the FCA site she may be a familiar name to them.

Is that the best route to halting her activities fromdownwest?

Yes, a whistle blowing report to the FCA is the best route. They have significant powers, not just regulatroy power. They are able to initiate criminal proceedings, close bank accounts etc.

If she is charging people, to then advise on what funds / share to invest in, then she is providing financial advice, or acting as a broker / intermediary. Either way, a FCA licence is required to do so, and without this is a criminal offence.

Very Recent Case

Spongebobette · 11/08/2022 14:29

Presumably even if they are not charging for the advice they’d be in trouble?

YouOKHun · 11/08/2022 14:32

Imagine if “I’m a six figure earner and millionaire and you could be too if you join my MLM and invest” could be deemed “unregulated financial advice” and dealt with by an agency with the powers the FCA has. Wouldn’t that be good news for all the people losing money via MLM?!

I’ve downloaded her free ‘investing playbook’

It starts with this

Imagine that you no longer had to work and instead were given a guaranteed £10,000/$10,000 per month without having to lift a finger. How would your life change? How
would it stay the same?

this is the old MLM ‘what’s your why’ hook

Spongebobette · 11/08/2022 14:48

And she’s big on ‘self sabotage’ (another way of saying it’s all about mindset)

‘In what ways do you think you are currently sabotaging your desire to build sustainable wealth & reach financial freedom?’

Spongebobette · 11/08/2022 14:50

wtf

What are three things you regularly spend money on that bring you true joy and happiness?

The words guaranteed are very misleading here, and to have £10k a month, you are talking a multiple 7 figure portfolio.

Either way, her wording does lead one to believe that she is able to advise on investments to obtain this level of income. Again, without any regulatory oversight, it is a dangerous game to play.

YouOKHun · 11/08/2022 15:48

She’s not strayed from the MLM playbook has she?

“Focus on the dream of easy money and the lifestyle I’m pretending I have. If I keep appealing to your emotions and keep you focussed on that then you are far more likely to set aside doubts and critical thinking. If I describe the dream for you and you associate me and what I’m offering with that dream then you are likely to place your money in my hands. Whether that money is for “financial advice” [training] or for me to invest in a new Louis Vuitton bag for me for you.

Should you come across a concerned loved one, an accountant or a person who says “looks like a scam to me” you should know that they are dream stealers who don’t want women to have financial independence which is something I’ve never achieved.

When you make money from your investments this will be down to my input but when if you lose money this will be for one or all of the following reasons: you didn’t want it enough, you didn’t follow my financial advice positive vibes, you assumed when I assured you my method was risk free that it was free of risk, you are a negative thinker, those around you have ruined your mindset with their negativity, your J.O.B is getting in the way and you are not committed and should ask your parents in invest in you so you don’t need to buckle down”.

I follow an FLP bot who isn’t much discussed here though we have discussed her once or twice. I thought I’d check in and see how the opportunity is going for her and she describes the current state of play as:

”Today Nameless and her partner and two offspring, are living that extra-ordinary life most people never even dare to dream about; debt free, 3 months holiday, private education for their children, charitable donations, peace of mind. And Nameless achieved it all as a direct result of helping other individuals and couples achieve their own dreams and goals – which is the essence of this business opportunity [FLP].”

I thought I’d see if Companies House matched this amazing sustained dream life with FLP that she reports. I’m not sure it does. It took me ages to find her as she’s removed her name from the company name and changed it to something obscure and shifted her registered address to one in a midlands Spa town.

just another example of the slowly sinking ship that is FLP with even the ‘successful” bots only just clinging on for dear life.

I know who you mean.
She seems much quieter these days.
Yes, the earnings look down, no wonder the name change at Companies House.
And yet she is right near the top in the FL rankings, and has team members in the top 20 too.
Just shows how much the business size has shrunk if that's all it's giving her.

Spongebobette · 12/08/2022 08:54

Ah yes. First name same as the people’s Princess

she is seen as very successful in the FL world. Goodness me.

Spongebobette · 12/08/2022 09:08

Is anyone on LinkedIn? I was wondering whether the partners of some of these seemingly successful bots have been sent back to real J O Bs

YouOKHun · 12/08/2022 09:10

@definitelynotabot @Spongebobette I’m impressed by your memories and/or powers of deduction! I didn’t look at where she’s placed at FL in the rankings (or wankings as BSIntolerance is now calling them!), and of course that’s the most telling thing of all. I wonder how her downline is getting on …

Yes, she qualified for the Global Rally at about the same level as Yawn, who remains uncharacteristically coy about the contents of her sad yoga mat.

Spongebobette · 12/08/2022 09:27

Ex BFF is having her team and their kids round today - in the garden
artificial grass gets VERY hot 🤨

Twentytwentyhindsight · 12/08/2022 09:27

According to Global Rally/CB wankings, she was 9th in the U.K.
If those are the figures for a 'Top Ten' bot, which will include a (modest) bonus cheque, what hope is there for the thousands of minions...

SnoogyWoo · 12/08/2022 10:19

Well we can presume that if the top are doing so badly then those below can only be doing worse. Maybe a few are doing better than others in retail but overall what a shit show.

Spongebobette · 12/08/2022 10:37

I think retail sales of the ‘4 day lose a shedload of weight by eating nothing and boast about it’ programme has given a bit of a boost to some bots

great product, because you can do the ‘programme’ multiple times over a year! I think they were finding the C9 was not selling very well, as 9 days starvation is no fun

DecemberGal · 12/08/2022 10:41

I see they had a bake off at HQ not many attendees but I notice a few men there. Only the odd name I recognise in the likes.
The lady you speak of I had a post deleted a few years ago so we are being watched. Last time I looked her bonus cheques we’re on the downward trajectory.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 12/08/2022 10:45

Problem they can't get away from is that it costs a shedload of money. In the current economic climate, I can't see many people willing to shell out to starve themselves multiple times a year. So I don't expect the retail sales of this particular box of shite to give the bots fortunes that much of a boost.
As for the C9 and other such 'programmes', the main customers will once again be the bots who will be encouraged and 'challenged' by their uplines to embark on them because "that is how you get people interested- you've got to invest to take your biznis to the next level Hun!"

Spongebobette · 12/08/2022 10:51

I’d not come across this income disclosure statement before

foreverliving.com/gbr/en-gb/income-disclosure

apparently 88.6% of business owners earn nothing at all

Of the remaining percentage, most make very little money - 69% make around 80 quid a month

not very attractive, is it!

of course they vouch all this in ‘the harder you work the more you’ll earn’ without admitting the business model means this does not work

Spongebobette · 12/08/2022 10:52

*couch all this

Twentytwentyhindsight · 12/08/2022 11:14

And don't forget this 'income disclosure' does not take into account the bots' expenses.
There is the cost of 'being a product of the product'- consuming the flood and replacing every household product you possibly can with inferior but overpriced FLP shite; the postal expenses for product delivery, the 'subscription' to the FLP web portal (or whatever it's called); travel to meet customers and 'prospects' (plus paying the latters' coffee etc. to show you can afford it); attendance, travel, subsistence and accommodation for various 'trainings', success days, business presentations etc.; samples to be handed out to potential customers or for 'pamper parties'...As well as more usual business expenses such as phone bills, stationery and the like.
All of this costing well over what the majority of the (minority of) bots who actually 'make' any money according to the disclosure statement.
Not forgetting, for the well and truly botted, dozens of ludicrously priced books, CDs and coaching courses to improve their mindset, and any amount of tacky merchandise (bags, mugs hoodies, T-shirts, branded pens & notepaper) to clearly signal to the outside world to run if they see you coming towards them.
I remember we did a breakdown on here of what the 'income disclosure' actually meant in terms of the reality for the average FLP bot and it was not pretty (I think some of it was incorporated into an article on the ever excellent Talented Ladies' Club).
