Any summer income ideas for teacher?

As the thread title suggests I'm a teacher about to have the six week summer break. We are trying to save for our wedding so I wanted to try and see if I could earn some extra money whilst on summer Holidays- I've got a little girl so need to work around her but wondered if anyone has any tips/any teachers who could pass on some words of advice?

Thanks!

Write lesson plans and sell them online.

I'd say anything childcare related would be the best bet. It's something people need, as a teacher they'd see you as capable/trustworthy and you could bring your own DD if you babysit at someone's house or go to park etc unlike restaurant or supermarket work etc, where you'd then just have your own childcare problem to solve unless you're able to do shifts where your DP is home to look after DD?

As for tax, you can earn up to £1000 without registering for tax, so it's probably simpler to not exceed that amount.

Exam marking can be lucrative and also good for CPD. However, it mainly happens outside of the holidays. I mark on one of the last exams of the season and we are just wrapping up marking now, and usually would be finished before the holidays even start. So if you're teaching full time it wouldn't be so easy to fit it in.

Tutoring is a good idea, but again would you need to do it all year round and fit it around your teaching - would someone want a tutor for just 5 weeks a year?
