up until last year i was on normal universal credit but then i went on sick due to anxietty and deppresion i was put in work related group of uc until November. Last month i was successfull in my application for pip which was backdated to january of this year for same illness. Today i got an email advising me to check my uc journal regarding my uc claim. I went to journal and got the following message -
Some benefits can affect how much Universal Credit you receive. Our records show that you are not getting any of these benefits.
Benefits that can affect Universal Credit are:
Jobseeker's Allowance
Employment and Support Allowance
Carer's Allowance
Maternity Allowance
Bereavement Allowance (including Widowed Parent's Allowance)
Widow's Pension (including Widowed Mother's Allowance)
State Pension
Incapacity Benefit
Severe Disablement Allowance
Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit
If you are actually getting one or more of these benefits, you must contact the office you claim them from. Tell them you're now getting Universal Credit and to update their records.
i just wondered if anybody else had recently got the same message as it seems out of the blue and although i havent done anything wrong i wonder if somebody has been stirring as i receive extra money due to getting pip which uc have been told about and ive been told this doesnt impact my universal credit

Also just to make clear universal credit were told i was in the work related activity group of esa which comes under uc now and i don't receive extra money for that as i didn't get enough points

That’s just an automated message from the sounds of it.

It's a standard message, so no need to worry. As you say , being awarded PIP has no real effect on UC except that it can give you a better local housing allowance rate if you are under 35, and it lifts the benefit cap if you are affected by that.

thanks babyroobs this is all new to me

If you've been awarded limited capability for work-related activity, your UC should go up by £354 a month. It can take a while for this to be processed, but when it is, you'll get the arrears paid in the next UC payment.

i was told i didnt get enough points for extra money in the work related activity group but ill double check to make sure
