If I have joint mortgage with wife, we live in a same house, but separated. How do i put it on the applicationf or universal credit? I am looking for a flat to move in, but stll cannot find. Would I be refused Unoversal credit if we live in the same house? she earns more.

Does Universal Credit do visit home?

If making a single claim then you would need to prove you are financially separate, have separate lives, meals etc. It can be tricky but is possible to claim as single. If the house is jointly owned, then when you find somewhere else to live, if you want to claim the rent element you will need to declare that you own half a house. If the house is being sold, or the person remaining living there has dependent children then the capital in the house can be disregarded in some circumstances. If the house is being sold and you receive capital from the sale of more than 16k then you will no longer be able to claim UC.

You don't exactly have to "prove" you're living separately, you have to state it and be prepared to show who sleeps where, whose kitchen cupboard is whose etc if they do a visit. But you can claim UC as a single person even if still sharing a house with an ex. You state that you are living like housemates and don't share meals, share money or share a bedroom. UC doesn't pay anything towards a mortgage explicately anyway, so I don't think that comes into it.
