Mortgage broker

We've been offered a DIP for 4 x our salary, as we are self employed.

Is it worth trying another broker or do they all have access to the same products.

It needs to be over 18 years because of DH's age too. The first person has recommended the Halifax.

Thank you

They don’t all use the same lenders. A high street lender such as the Halifax will have stricter lending criteria. So you could find a less well known lender but will pay higher rates. Interest rates are rising at the moment so lenders are cautious.

Thanks, I don't want to pay higher rates than I have to really. I think I'll stick with the Halifax and try and find a cheaper house.

Can anyone recommend a good broker? This one said he's not very up to date with self employed people Bear

We've always used London & Country, they don't charge, are independent and have access to deals that the general public don't.
