Claiming mileage difference from HMRC

recently left a job where I drove about 1,000 miles using my own car.

I claimed expenses and was paid 30p/mile. I was told that I could claim the 15p difference (to make it 45p/mile) from HMRC at the end of the tax year.

I've since left that employer, and because the app they use wipes all data when you leave (I have my doubts, but that's what the company say) I've no record of the exact journeys I claimed for (although I have the mileages).

I have asked my former employer for a copy, but they aren't really that organised. Or polite, to be honest.

Is it possible to submit a claim with just dates & mileages and no start/end locations ?

You don't even need that much detail if you are making a claim - only if they want to check your claim (which is unlikely).

The amount you claim will effectively be a salary deduction, so you won't get the full difference back, just the PAYE paid on that amount.
