hope someone can be of help pls

I work but also get universal credit. My UC payment changes monthly depending on what I earn at work.

My partner just moved in with me. He is ill and not working at the moment although getting some monthly pay from his work insurance

He's just filled ESA & PIP form to apply for benefit today stating he's moved into my address.

How will this affect my own benefit? Will our benefits be merged? Will my benefit payment get reduced?

Someone pls help

HIs ESA will be paid separately but then deducted from your joint UC. Instead of getting a single standard element on your claim you will get a couples element. HIs pay from his health insurance will affect your Uc the same a wages I think.
Once he has been assessed on UC, if he is awarded the LCWRA group, then you will get an extra LCWRA element on your joint claim.
If PIP is awarded and he is awarded the daily living component then you can claim a carers element on the joint UC claim as long as you care for him for 35 hours a week. You can still claim this even if you work, there is no earnings limit like there is with carers allowance.
Depending on his health insurance amount you may find you are not entitled to any Uc anymore, it depends how much you get really and what he comes out with from work ?

It will need to be a joint claim. You will need to declare on your UC journal that you are living together

You can do a benefit calculation at either the turn2us site or entitled2.

It will be a joint claim. You will need to declare his income. And see what the result will be from there.
