Self assessment - WfH

Help please

I need to complete a self assessment as I went over the £50k threshold for child benefit in 2020/21.

I worked from home throughout the tax year due to my employer's Covid restrictions but never got round to claiming the £6 a week tax relief so need to include it in the self assessment form.

I've found the section but am not clear to what number I need to enter - googling has found references to both £312 (£6 per week) and £125 (the tax relief on that £312 figure) but I'm not clear which number I need to enter.

My brain is telling me £312 but hate the thought of the resultant headache if I get the number wrong!!

Anyone able to help with my stupidity

TIA

you claim expenses of £312

the calculation will reduce your tax liability by 125, so you just enter the amount spent (312)

Thank you so much @Azpil, I was tying myself up in knots and I'm normally quite switched on with these things.

There's also this firm that I think does it for you
