Ex employer owes me money and ignoring me

Would like some advice on what to do next as I am about to give up after 2 years but I'm stubborn and they shouldn't get away with it. I have it in writing that they owe me £290 from over paid childcare vouchers. I have send so many emails and called so many times but it doesn't get resolved. I think it's so small to them it's not that important and they feel that I am a nuisance for asking them to resolve it.
Who would I speak to now? I don't want them to get away with it after so many years of not paying back my expenses and not receiving incentives. This is a really large company too! Any help would be very much appreciated!

Letter before action then small claims court.

I agree with pp.
They will continue to ignore you until you give them no choice

I’m in Ireland so the small claims court set up may differ but employment disputes cannot be processed in the Small Claims Court. Check that out where you are before you proceed.

Do you mean for childcare vouchers you bought but never used?

Iamneverfull · 02/01/2022 19:58

No I they charged me for childcare vouchers I didn't receive

I think this would come under the remit of small claims court rather than employment dispute.

OP you can make a claim online for a fee of £35. Your claim will include interest on the amount you are owed. It's very straightforward to do, and the government website takes you through the steps, and shows you how much interest to add the to the amount claimed.
You have the option to use the mediation service before action, which if the employer ignores gives further weight to your claim.

I would forget a letter before action and go straight to mediation; then court action online if mediation is unsuccessful.

There is maybe a deadline for such things and they are hoping to ignore you until it’s passed. Cheeky feckers.

Do you have free legal advice through your union or through your house insurance or another insurance you may have?

I’d seek that first and then you know how long you have to do whatever course of action you choose.
