Hi All

Trying to navigate the world of CGT on my primary residence.

I've owned the property for just shy of 10 years. I lived in it for 2.5 years, then rented it out for 5.5 years whilst living abroad for work (non UK tax resident during this period) then moved home back to the UK living back in the property myself for the last almost 2 years.

I'm planning to sell it now to buy a bigger family home - am i subject to CGT for the 5.5 years i was abroad or exempt under personal tax relief as this was before and is still my primary residence in the UK!

Any help much appreciated!!!
