Income £2600, bills £1600, £1000 left for food, petrol and everything else, soon gets swallowed up

We have about £500 each after everything. I pay for holidays out of that though as I never use my savings for leisure things.

Hi , there is me and my partner . We have a morgage house and 1 car on finance .
We get paid £1600+ £ 2200 a month so £3800 a month and our bills for the month are about 1000£ and then food maybe 400? So we normally have about 2200 pounds left sometimes less , depends what we do in that month . . Ofcourse we have less if we buy something big ect, but that’s not Often . We don’t have kids too .
So we have £2200 every month to use for anything we like really after bills and food . Smile

£4.5 in joint income for me and DH - only recently increased by £500.
£2k goes out in mortgage/bills/loan payment

£500 for food
£100 for petrol.
£100 for dog food
Some of the rest goes towards the credit card, but we're planning to pay it off and build some savings this year so that don't use it any longer.
Probably £150 on takeway food.
£100 lunches out.
