Getting a parcel from A to B

What's the cheapest way of sending a largeish parcel within the UK? I don't have scales at home, so I've no idea how much it weighs, but it's about 30cm x 30cm x 45cm and fulll of clothes mostly. Any ideas?

ANything over 2kg is generally cheaper through a courier than Royal Mail. I use a courier that I found online (APC) and they would charge about £8-10 for that. I know DHL at home do pick ups at places like Staples stores so worth looking at their website too. They are a bit dearer though.

B must get inundated with parcels, letters and drivers - Everyone but just everyone goes to B

We always go from y to Z it's much quieter

APC looks good - and they'vd got a depot in my town. Thanks.

(Z would indeed be a better destination, Nadine, especially as you can follow the map from A.)

I've been using an Ebay person (see here). They charge £6, use DHL, and touch wood, everything has been OK so far! They only list 200 deliveries a day so they don't get too overwhelmed. I contact them directly for my bookings though, rather than going via Ebay.
