How do you know that a Will has been fairly executed and that intended recipients got what was due to them? Usually one family member is in charge but how do you know they will execute the Will fairly as was intended???

The grant of probate, to give someone the legal right to deal with a deceased persons property, and any associated will are public documents. Anyone can buy a copy online.

Very small estates, typically less that £15k can be dealt with without any formal process, but anything over that will have a grant of probate (if there was a will) or letters of administration if no will, so the laws of intestacy apply.

Does that help with your question?

I think so - so you can look it up to see if it's been done properly.

If probate is granted then the will is a public record. And the beneficiaries are entitled to a copy of the accounts for the estate.

Would anyone know that you'd paid to look a Will up??

If you mean will anyone from your family, or the beneficiaries know that you have paid to look up a will, the answer is no, they will not know.
