Self employed small earnings NI

When I was self employed years ago I applied for a class 2 NI exemption for small earnings.

I’ve just started back up again and am still classed as small earnings but can’t find any way to apply for the exemption anymore.

Does anyone know whether you still need to do this or is it automatically sorted now when you do your tax return?

You don't need to get the exemption anymore. When you complete the tax return it will know from your profits if Class 2 has to be paid or if it is optional.

Brilliant thank you. That’s really helpful.
