I bought DH 2 pairs of shoes from a well known online retailer in July. He's a UK size 8 but we ordered an 8.5 to be on the safe side but neither pair would go near his feet so I actioned an online return and we took the parcel to a UPS point locally to return to the company. What I didn't realise was that it wasn't going back to their UK distributors but to the country of origin (Italy). I've been tracking the parcel for nearly 3 weeks, and chased both the shoe company and UPS to no avail. Eventually, via Twitter, I had a message from UPS saying that the parcel had been lost in transit and I'd need to start a claim. I've done this, and also contacted the shoe company. They're refusing to refund until the parcel is received, in spite of screenshots of the messages I've had from UPS.

In complete frustration I rang Lloyds bank as I'd used my credit card, but as I checked out via Paypal they've told me that I need to deal with them. So I've now started a claim via Paypal and they've given the shoe company until the 19th September to reply. I've now been out of pocket for nearly 7 weeks and am going round the bend with frustration.

Any advice on how else I can push this forward??

So you're claiming from UPS AND the shoe company?

The UPS claim is for them to officially notify the shoe company of the loss of the parcel, not monetary.

Is it the shoe company that gave you a UPS return label (like a free return type of thing) or did you pay UPS directly to post the shoes to their address for you?

If it’s the first case then the company are liable and they should reply you. Most companies are swamped with returns issues with lots of people shopping online with covid and since it’s not the deadline given to them by PayPal yet, you just have to wait.

If it’s the second scenario then you should be claiming off UPS directly. You parcel would have been insured with them and It’s nothing to do with the company as it never arrived, they did not authorise the courier so can’t claim the loss from them and they can’t refund for what they didn’t receive really.

The shoe company sent me the UPS label, I wouldn't have used them through choice as we have horrendous issues with them at work with lost parcels.

Finally got a refund through Paypal today.

Absolutely zilch response from Geox still.

Please don't buy direct from them. Reading their Trustpilot reviews is very eye opening and something I wish I'd done at the start.
