Hi stbxh and I have agreed of financial split but struggling with what to put in form 81 with ref to pension. We don't. Want either of each others they are both police pensions and currently yearly statement shows they are similar in value. What figure should go on the form neither want to pay 930 quid each to get cev value and what is the additional state pension??? Both early 40's

Why would you be paying £930 each for the CETVs? You can request one CETV per year at no charge. Just do that, put the values in, but exclude them when you decide on your financial split.

It usually takes longer than 4 weeks for a CETV. It isn’t something held on the system that you press a button for - it’s complex calculations. Did you just request a statement? Surely if you thought it was going to cost you £939 for a CETV and you say you (understandably!) were reluctant to pay that, you didn’t even request one? So no surprise that’s not what you received.

Who told you it was going to be £930?!

Can you explain the other part of your question - about additional state pension? It’s not clear what you’re asking.

Hi, just went through this as part of our consent order. In fact our pensions were significantly different.
We basically got some words from my solicitor (I was petitioner) that said we both agreed to not get pension statements due to costs ( we had 8 pensions between us) and time for it to take, and we both understood and had taken financial and legal advice on this. We split our other assets 50:50 so declared those …we left the pension piece with just the statement. But we were going for consent order not applying for agreement to be decided by the court.
You need to ensure whoever is setting up the consent order gets a solicitor to word it correctly and ensure that both parties get legal advice before signing D81 and consent and that is documented in signature piece in consent order
My decree final and consent order were given in less than 8 weeks post my initial divorce application on line- it was for unreasonable behaviour but very amicable and cooperative regarding divorce process and finically split. It doesn’t have to be painful getting the agreement if you trust each other and have good financial management between you.
If you are happy to not include pensions- then force solicitors to make that legal for you, you don’t Have to declare if you can show you are both fully informed about the decision you make.

Re the additional state pension- are you sure that will still apply to you given you’re in your 40’s. The government replaced that with flat rate pension a few years ago. Check out if it’s really relevant to you on line. You can get your state pension quote including any additional pensions online via government gateway.
