Claiming tax relief on fuel

Hi All

I need some help with tax relief for work fuel.
I've been told its a p87 form to claim tax relief but as the amount is over £2700 (work pay 12p a mile a day gov is 45p) the form won't let me continue. Which form do I use then? I am employed so can't complete the self assessment.

Thanks

Max amount for P87 online form is £2500, so you need to contact the Self Assessment Helpline 0300 200 3310 and ask if there is any other way of doing it without completing a self assessment.

You have a difference of 33p per mile, so have you done over 8000 work miles in your employment in the tax year? If not, then check your figures.

Being employed doesn't preclude you from completing a tax return.
