Booted from crisp as didn't fit enough shifts in a certain timeframe and joined Appen but they haven't solved my login issues so need other similar jobs that are pretty flexible- any ideas? Many thanks

Clickworkers might be worth a look

I've recently joined Crisp, can I ask what you mean about not filling enough shifts? I rarely do any. Thanks.

Have you looked into matched betting before? I started it three weeks ago and have made over £600 from introductory offers so far. So far I am finding it way less time consuming and a lot better money than the online work from home type stuff I was doing before, I felt it was such a pittance for a big time commitment but maybe that's just my experience!

lostitall · 28/04/2021 22:37

@freecuthbert I was thinking about that earlier but I really don't know how to do it it seems to baffle me!
@SunnyJill I don't think I did any shifts for a month as I was recovering from an op and they close your account then

I thought it seemed confusing/daunting as well, but I watched the videos on the teamprofit website and then just thought, fuck it, I'll give it a go with £10 and if I mess it up it's not a big loss. But after doing it the first time, it all clicked for me, and I started putting more money into it from my savings so I could place quite a lot of bets and more lucrative ones, just for making profit more quickly. But you can start with £10 or £20 and just make money slowly. It is risk free as long as you follow all the rules. I saw there is a matched betting thread on here but haven't checked it out yet, though I am sure it would be very useful!

I second team profit: videos talk you through the whole process and the different type of offers eg refund, bet x get y, boosts etc.
I think it took me 45 minutes to place my first bet as I spent a long time checking and triple checking, but now it takes a couple of minutes to check on offers and place bets for the day.

lostitall · 29/04/2021 16:36

Thanks both you make it feel a lot easier

Just had a little look at the matched betting videos but I'm still a bit confused....do you have to go through betfair and the bookmaker or what ? Do we pay our bets through betfair with our own money?

OP posts:
freecuthbert · 29/04/2021 17:32

So you place a back bet with the bookies. That's when you bet something will happen, like betting man united will win. Then you place a lay bet on the exchange, in this case betfair, so you would bet the opposite of what you put on the bookies. In my example, it would be man united not winning, so it covers the outcomes of a loss or draw. You use a calculator, can use the one on teamprofit, which tells you how much of a lay bet you should place so you don't really make a loss. But you then get rewarded with the free bet, which and repeat the process except this time you make a profit.

Teamprofit walks you through all the offers. I have recently been using another website called profit accumulator as it can tell me what to bet on using the oddsmatcher. This website isn't free though! So if you want to get into matched betting, place a few bets following the step by step instructions on Teamprofit, and once you're feeling confident there is a free trial on profit accumulator. I enjoyed the free trial so ended up paying £25 for a month subscription, but you don't need to use a subscription service at all. I just really like their oddsmatcher, but I was managing fine before finding bets to place, it just took a few more minutes of browsing and trying to find the right match/race etc to take advantage of the offer.

lostitall · 29/04/2021 17:40

Does the profit accumulator do it all for you?

OP posts:
ToTheLetterOfTheLaw · 29/04/2021 17:49

No profit accumulator don't do it for you but they do take you step by step through the process, they have a really good video explaining it Here

freecuthbert · 29/04/2021 17:51

I wouldn't bother paying for a subscription to profit accumulator until you have got the hang of things though, as £25 a month is a lot of money! I cancelled my Now TV subscription which was less than that because it felt pricey Grin

lostitall · 29/04/2021 17:54

Yeah true
So where is the calculator that tells you what to bet? And also do you only make profit when you get free bets as I'm a ready a member of a lot of betting sites so won't get the free bets

What sort of skills do you have? All 600 of our staff are at home at the minute!!

lostitall · 29/04/2021 17:56

How do you know who to bet on? This is all very confusing lol

I've tried various money making things in the past and matched betting is the only one that has reliably worked for me.

savvy7 · 29/04/2021 18:16

apart from my day job

ladyinacampervan · 29/04/2021 21:54

What is Crisp if you don't mind me asking? Google is not helpful.

lostitall · 29/04/2021 21:56

It's called crisp thinking. It's social media moderation basically

@lostitall
If you are a member of a betting site you won’t get the sign up offers. However, you can take advantage of other offers such as bet clubs and other weekly offers eg sky bet has a game of two halves offer for certain football matches: you place a £5 in first half and get a free £5 bet for second half and Bet Fred has weekly pick your punt offers.
These offers will specify the event you need to bet on and sometimes the free bet also needs to be used on a specific event.
Eg this week Bet Fred had an offer where you place a £10 in play bet on Madrid match and then you received a free £5 bet which had to be used on the Man City match the following day.

freecuthbert · 30/04/2021 00:18

Yes, there are plenty of reload offers with matched betting, so any websites you are already a member of you obviously won't be able to do the sign up offers, but they still have promotions for current members. I've heard some people make a full time wage from matched betting Wink

freecuthbert · 30/04/2021 00:18

That wasn't meant to be a winking face, not sure how that got there!
