Updating my Will - who the hell do I give my estate to if we all snuff it??

As above ^
I'm updating my Will and making sure if anything happens to me my half of the house goes into trust for my kids if dh remarried.
However, if all of us die at once (cheerful) who do I leave my estate to?
I have a brother and sister to whom I'm not close.
I also have 3 nephews and 1 niece. We do not see much of them sadly despite trying to facilitate relationships over the years.
So...what do I do?
I give to several charities and have done for many years so don't really want to leave my estate to anyone them.
I quite like the idea of a university scholarship for underprivileged students? Is that something I could do?
Any advice gratefully received!

How strange, we had a zoom with our solicitor today to sort out our wills. We opted for our estate to be with surviving partner, then to be divided equally between our DS’s, if one of our DS’ passes away, his half to his surviving children. In the case of a total wipe out, nieces & nephews and two charities that are close to our hearts. Pleased we have sorted it out, our wills with be stored with our solicitors and we no longer need to think about it.

Yes you can will things to a university hardship fund. Whenever I've been earning okay I've donated to my old college's hardship fund, because I benefitted from it myself when I was there. Contact the institution you have in mind and discuss it with their development office, they will likely have dealt with bequests and be able to advise you.

We made our wills a few years ago (husband and wife, with an adult son). They're pretty straightforward, and I'm more concerned about who doesn't benefit, eg the government and some relatives. Our solicitor pointed out the, thankfully very rare, experience when everyone due to inherit dies in the same incident. What would you want to happen then? This meant we added local charities, etc, that would get our money, rather than it going to those we would not want to benefit from our estate, if the original beneficiaries were no longer alive.
