What counts as a change in circumstances?

I get middle rate dla for my son with ASD. The award lasts another two years. His condition and level of care haven’t changed, but there are some professionals that were on the claim form that are different now. His speech therapist has changed as the original one who wrote a report changed jobs, and he has private OT now that he didn’t before. He also sees a new continence nurse than the one I put on the claim form. But he is still under the care of the same paediatrician generally. Do I need to make dla aware of these changes in therapists ? Or do they not count as they are not related to the level of care he needs? He is six and has the functioning of a toddler, and I think all professionals involved in his care will agree with that. Will I have to let them know when he goes into P2? And when I signed the claim form last year I included the current IEP. He has had a few more since, should I have sent those off or just keep them for evidence when renewing?

I wouldn't worry OP, therapists and professionals involved in the care of our young people change so frequently you'll be forever on the phone to them if you report every one. Just keep records and paperwork for renewal.

Changing circumstances for DLA would mean in terms of the care your son needs (ie. if it were to increase or decrease that might move you up or down a band of DLA)
