It makes me smile to see these other threads and read posts from MNers (who I don't recognise from here) who are quick to pick up on MLMs and their exploitative, scamming fake approach.

What in the name of pyramid schemes is The Freedom Movement? A school mum whose hobby is MLM-hopping joined up a few weeks ago and her page is full of ‘booked my seat on this rocket getting ready to launch’ and ‘get into this binary early’, and apparently her team is ‘already number two in the world’ just four weeks after launch.

Yet I’m still to see a single product that they’re selling. It looks just like your classic pyramid scheme to me.

I thought originally it was FM, but after a quick mooch around it’s Jeunesse. .

I've wondered that, Sponge. Despondent, frustrated, perhaps with an urge to post passive aggressive "I know who my real friends are" type posts.

Desperate (end of the month and still bereft of enough CCs).

Confused, particularly when all their non-MLM posts get loads of likes and comments from their friends and family.

Their upline is ready and primed with the culty formula to reel them back in and allaying their fears and doubts, and further culty success days and 'training' seals their fate for another week or month...

Urgh, such a hateful, damaging business model!

@passthetequila I’m not sure if there’s an MLM element to Forex, but Forex is very risky. I remember watching a documentary a while ago where a number of women lost their life savings when they got lured into Forex. If it sounds too good to be true ...

The recruitment tactics are similar to MLM in the way that they would have so-called business presentations in low budget hotels as a way to trap the unwary.

I love listed cottages but not way on earth would I buy one. The running costs and maintenance are more, and if you don't keep on top of them the later repair costs just snowball. Don't fix the roof and next thing you know you have damp in the roof timbers and the you are having to replace rotting wood. And a house that still looks cute on the outside can be a money pit when you start looking at the structure. Think I'll keep admiring other people's chocolate box houses!!

Let's hope that the external render is in good nick (speaking as someone who has just had a quote for the re-render of a detached house ) or she'll be downing the paint brushes and flogging her aloe shite and desperately recruiting 24/7
