How much do you spend a week?

Not including food shopping,so just money on treats for yourself or a coffee and cake etc
I spend about £100 a week which I'm not sure is a bit too much.

Spotify, that's it. I did a year of no unnecessary spending, (Spotify was my one exception as music keeps me going!) It was so freeing. I nearly had to buy new socks but received them for Christmas (was actually so over the moon). Technically I can spend what I like now, my year is up, but it's not as if I have a vibrant social life and an urge to run to my local shut shopping centre.
Pre 2020 I was blowing through my whole paycheque each month, never a penny spare.

As a rule, zero. But obviously there will be items we suddenly need. So if needed a new laundry basket we'd buy it then. But wouldn't as a rule just spend frivolously.
We buy some treats within the grocery shopping.

Probably circa 225

This includes food / eating out / my hobby

@Tier10

About £150 a week on clothes, coffees, occasional lunch (not so much lately), toiletries, hair etc. Sometimes more if I’m having something like botox done. I have £950 per month for myself but never spend that amount so I save the rest.
Similar to me !

Covid has left me better off ... which I feel incredibly guilty about :(

If you are feeling guilty, you could always donate a proportion to a local charity, like a food bank or homeless hostel. Not that you should feel guilty.

I used to allow myself €50 in cash per week for such treats, but realistically spent more than that most weeks - but could afford it.

Since wfh started in March, it has reduced drastically (although groceries increased as I'm now buying good coffee for the plunger instead etc). I have a tendency to buy coffee once a week on my way home from physio for both Dh and I, which is about €15 (2 coffees and 2 pastries), and we get a takeaway for dinner once a week to support local businesses which is generally about €45-70 (dinner for 3) but we take turns buying that.

Occasionally I have got a magazine or ordered some books online. But I haven't spent money on myself like when I was in town for months.

Under £10

I probably spend about £50 a month on clothes when it's averaged out. (Waiting on a delivery of knitted loungewear today, literally can't wait!)

I treat me and the kids to Starbucks delivery on a Sunday morning which is about £20.

Not having hair/nails/brows done at the moment as it seems a bit pointless and a waste of money.

Pre Covid I would buy lunch out most day as I worked in the city centre. Couple of pub visits a week.

On the plus side without all of these extra treats I'm losing weight and we are putting £1k a month into savings which will come in handy when my current temp contract ends!
