Mortgage agreement in principal?

Quick query about mortgage agreements in principal. I have an agreement in principal and am looking for a house, hopefully will find what I’m looking for soon. What I wanted to know was- I obviously supplied bank statements, pay slips etc to my mortgage advisor to get the agreement in principal. Will I need to provide more of these (Or maybe more up to date ones) to the bank once I find a house?
The reason I ask is because I want to start using childcare for my children just for them to socialise etc. I don’t actually need it as my hours are flexible as is my partners . However I obviously want to keep my outgoings as low as possible to secure the mortgage. Am I ok to start this (as it will start showing up on statements) given I have my agreement in principal or should I hold off until everything is more secured? Thanks

You don’t need bank statements for an agreement in principle, they just take your word that you’re being truthful because if you lie then you wouldn’t get the mortgage later on anyway. I can only assume your mortgage advisor has taken these to maybe speed up the process of getting a mortgage later maybe. It’s highly likely that you would need to provide the most recent bank statements once you find a house though, unless you find one almost immediately.

Don't change your outgoings until you have the keys in your hand.

Any change will affect how much you can borrow and your mortgage offer

DS got his AIP without wage slips or proof of earnings and outgoings. All this stuff had to be sent with his mortgage application when he found a house.

Don't change any of your outgoings until you've moved into a house.
